Soft-skills - up skilling

Communication, Professionalism, Time Management and Positive Mind-Set

The IO3 –A2 Tool “Soft Skills and Upskilling” explores communication skills, professionalism, time management and having a positive mind set. The tool gives additional support to career professionals and ideas for working with their unemployed clients.

Soft skills such as networking, communication skills (including social media), time management and professionalism are important requirements in today’s job market.

Professionalism requires a range of soft skills including problem solving, teamwork and creativity. In this second tool “Soft Skills and Up-Skilling” this training explores the many skills that can support low skilled unemployed people. In addition, it aims to be a valuable resource for career professionals.

This tool aims to identify the various soft skills and demonstrate how important it is to possess these skills when entering the labor market. This Tool 2 is part of the IO3 “Modern ICT Tools To Support Career Management for Low Skilled.” It has been based on the successful pilot delivery of the face to face QUALIFY training and on extensive research.

In addition the training programme introduces the Career Circles methodology for career professionals to consider as part of their day to day work.
