ABILITY OF LEARNING TO LEARN The term learning to learn is popular when talking about schools, education and employability. This competence means acquiring, processing and assimilating new knowledge and skills, as well as seeking guidance and making use of them. We are talking about resisting the bias against doing new things, scanning the horizon for growth opportunities, and pushing yourself to acquire radically different capabilities. That requires a willingness to experiment and become a novice again and again: an extremely discomforting notion for most people. The ability of learning to learn draws on 4 skills: • aspiration • self-awareness • curiosity • vulnerability
