[Project Number: 2017-1-SK01-KA204-035385] Specific needs to be addressed QUALIFY project has been designed to achieve the following specific objectives: • To provide career advisors in each participating country with the latest, more effective and individualized methods and tools to support low-skilled unemployed adults such as strengths based coaching techniques amongst others. • To support and empower low-skilled unemployed helping to change their mind-set by discovering their strengths, skills and interests through the most appropriate training and by helping them develop a set of skills to unlock their career potential. • To promote European networking between private and public entities dealing with unemployed adults with holistic collaborative approaches to support and guidance as well as to develop methods and create conditions for tailored and personalized trainings, thus increasing adults individual opportunities for the future. The QUALIFY Project is going to produce four Intellectual Outputs (IO): • IO1. Building a Competence Framework for Career Coaches specialised in supporting low skilled unemployed (and mapping them against coaching skills) • IO2. Design of Innovative coaching intervention practices • IO3. Modern ICT Tools to Support Career Management Learning Paths for Low- Skilled • IO4. Recommendations to Policy Makers on New Strategies to Support Effective Career Guidance to Low Skilled Unemployed Adults. Additionally, the project will organise a Joint Staff Training that will be active, participatory and will combine joint experimentation and reflection to work on a the latest, more effective and individualised methods and tools to support low skilled unemployed adults, crossing different points of view and experiences among partners and the participating career advisors and/or experts in the field of professional guidance. 1.2 TARGET GROUP ADDRESSED The target group of this project is composed by both career guidance professionals from the public and private sphere and by low skilled adults. The partnership approached employed and unemployed low skilled. However, it was necessary to define, according to their national standards, what was understood by “low skilled” adult in the four participating countries (Slovakia, Cyprus, Spain and UK). The performance indicators as proposed in the project proposal were the following: - 5 guidance practitioners per country (5x4) – answering to the questionnaire - 5 low skilled unemployed (5x4) – answering to the questionnaire
