[Project Number: 2017-1-SK01-KA204-035385] 3.1.4. SPAIN Fundación Coremsa, as leader of this IO1, has made qualitative interviews to 8 Career Guidance Professionals. Curiously, the average number of years of practice of these professionals is lower than 5, which conducts us to think that it is a professional speciality that is on growth in Spain. Let’s see the conclusions drawn from the answers of theses interviewees: On question number 2, most of them have remarked the importance to implement coaching as a required guidance methodology. However, two of the interviewees answered negatively, even though they admitted the worth of this work method. On question number 3 the most repeated answer was to work for and with the people that present lack of motivation and discourage. They don’t have the ability to listen or the motivation to new learning. Moreover, as professionals, they face every day the lack of time, the excess of bureaucracy, a non-aware business sector and the need to continuous training and retain in its profession. On question number 4 each answer has been very personal. Nevertheless, the majority of them have responded dynamically remarking the need to work as a team together with other professionals, the continuous training, the participation on forums and employment discussions by building up motivation and innovating. Answers given to question number 5 are unanimous: the need for continuous and specialized training. On question number 6 almost the majority agree that coaching techniques are not applied enough on the field of career guidance in Spain. Everyone of them is conscious that the traditional method of career guidance does not lead to the required empowering results nor the personal autonomy ones. Therefore they remark the importance of coaching. However, they accept that Spain already has a lot to do in that way. Question number 7 has offered a wide variety of answers: training and education, self- knowledge, personal brand, motivation, communication and dialog, attention to diversity, observation teaching techniques, and personal and team work. Lastly, answers to question number 8 have been: training on legal aspects and Spanish regulation, pedagogical training, psychology and personal development, coaching training, training on digital skills.
