[Project Number: 2017-1-SK01-KA204-035385] EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Low-skilled adults are a source that can be empowered to enter jobs with higher demands. However, they not only face a higher risk of unemployment, but also a social marginalization or social exclusion due to deteriorating work and life conditions. Unfortunately, unemployment disproportionally affects low-skilled workers. The “Career Coaches for Low Qualified Adults” project implements a specialised training for guidance practitioners (private/public) to become Career Coaches and provide them with useful complementary ICT tools to support their daily practice, in empowering and up-skilling low- skilled unemployed adults. This report “Building a Competence Framework for Career Coaches specialized in supporting low skilled unemployed” comprises the results of the desk research and the analysis of feedback provided by guidance professionals and low skilled adults to interviews that have been implemented during the period October – March 2018 in Slovakia, Spain, UK and Cyprus to identify methods, good practices as well as needs and gaps for the definition of a competence based framework for career coaches. The methodology adopted for the research has consisted in a 3 step exercise including the identification of the field of investigation, including the elaboration of guidelines for the implementation of the research, validation of the questionnaires by partners during the month of February and the completion of national surveys by all partners during the month of March with a final analysis elaborated by Fundación Coremsa. The results obtained are all included in this final deliverable.
