[Project Number: 2017-1-SK01-KA204-035385] There are not many incentives to invest in training due to the high proportion of temporary contracts. Amongst countries in the OCDE, Spain has one of the highest rates in young employees (25-54) who work under indefinite contracts (OCDE calculations based in microdata of the Economically Active Population Survey (EAPS) in the EU and in national active population surveys). The possibility that workers with a temporary receive funded and organized training by their business owners is significantly lower than in other countries. Note: Estimated percentage difference in the probability of having received training paid for or organised by the employer in the year preceding the survey, obtained by controlling for literacy and numeracy scores, age, gender, migrant status, occupation, job tenure and firm size. ***, **, *: significant at the 1%, 5%, 10% level, respectively – based on robust standard errors.
