Nevertheless, in Spain, the labour of career guidance is not highly known or appreciated, so normally people do not ask for their help. In a study conducted by the expert Ángeles Bernal Cantó (“Orientación laboral”), she talks about the need of career guidance. She explains that more developed social systems have been supporting career guidance and have indeed been witness of their benefits. However, it is still a challenge in other undeveloped countries in that area. On the other hand, due to the unemployment crisis and the huge change that the labour market has suffered, we cannot deny the need of career guidance nowadays. Besides, career guidance do not count with specific training and in those cases they do count, they have to learn most of their knowledge form the development of their profession. Analysis of the Current Situation in Spain Nowadays, the labour market is in constant change and in order to find a job it is necessary to know its characteristics, the most accurate professional profile, what areas are demanding more job positions, job positions that require new competences, the market tendencies, the economy progress, etc. All of the above make career guidance being in constant change due to the need of an adaptation in order to obtain and balance the work supply and demand. Career guidance must know all of these data in order to offer a work orientation, depending on the demand. In Spain, the career guidance supply is carried through from various organisms and institutions. At a local level, city councils and provincial governments have their own career guidance services for work search, with formation programmes, enterprise creation, job placement offices, mixed programmes, etc.
